The World Superyacht Awards 2017 winners have been announced to include some of the most complex vessels and magnificent explorers created in the last 12 months. At a ceremony in Palazzo Vecchio, Florence last Saturday, the elite of the superyacht world joined the event organisers Boat International Media to celebrate the victors.
This year saw 60 nominations from 14 countries, with 15 winners recognized for their “outstanding ingenuity, innovation and quality of design”, according to the judges.

We would like to congratulate the yachts that have chosen the Boero YachtCoatings paint system to enhance their beauty and protection.
Perini Navi’s S/Y Sybaris (70m) for winning two awards: Sailing Yacht of the Year and the category Sailing Yachts 40m and above as well. A great achievement for the largest sailing yacht to be built in Italy to date.
M/Y Legend (77m), the ex-Russian ice-breaker tug, converted, at the Icon Yachts shipyard, into a world-roaming expedition superyacht with Lloyds A1 Ice Class, and Polar classification, for winning the award of best Rebuilt Yacht.
Last but not least, M/Y X (42m) by Sanlorenzo, for winning the award in the category of Displacement Motor Yachts Below 500 GT - 30m to 42,9m.
