It's a new record for Giovanni Soldini!
Giovanni Soldini, the Italian 52 year old skipper, and his crew finished the Hong Kong to London route in 36 days, 2 hours and 38 minutes (navigating over 15,000 nautical miles), improving the previous record by over 5 days. Onboard his 21-meter trimaran Multi70 and with 4 other crew members he managed to successfully conclude one of the longest transoceanic routes on the planet, setting a new world record.
